Aquatic Therapeutic Swimming and/or Exercise (1hr.) Customized aquatic lesson based on persons needs and goals. Have experience working with injured veterans, children and adults with disabilities, those recovering from surgeries and those with typical aging issues. Call to discuss . Beginner Yoga Classes (1hr. 15 min.) A yoga class that will help you build strength, increase flexibility and increase relaxation. Emphasis is given to lower back, hips though the entire body will be stretched and strengthened. There are floor, sitting and standing poses in these classes. You are encouraged to do all poses at your comfort level, as you practice yoga more you will gradually increase your abilities which is where the fun begins! Level 1 Yoga Classes (1hr. 15 min.) A yoga class that will help you build strength, increase flexibility and increase relaxation. This class builds on the Beginner Class and adds more strength work. The entire body will be stretched and strengthenened. More of this class is on your feet in warriors, sun salutations and balance poses. Call to discuss your experience with Lori, and she will help place you in the appropriate class. 865.986.9642 Breathe, Stretch & Relax (1 hr. 15 min.) Rejuvenating / Relaxation Yoga You will move every joint in the body and utilize all your muscles through flowing movements. Emphasis is on learning to move your body with your breath and calming all systems. This class is done from a stationary, relaxed standing (or sitting) position (NOT moving across the room with concentration on detailed hand and feet positions as done with Tae Chi) and ends with deep relaxation lying on the floor or sitting in a chair. Good for people anyone on the go who need to slow down and rejuvenate. Good for all fitness levels, a good place to start!
Private Instruction/Personal Training for Women, Prenatal, Athletes, Couples or Friends (1 hr.) By Appt. individual or up to 2 (husband / wife or mother / daughter or friends, etc.) This is a class that is specifically designed for you and yours! Family Yoga (1 hr.) This is "more kids" than it is what you might think of as a typical "yoga" class. We play games, blast off like rockets, sway in the wind as trees, moo and bark,; it is interactive, fun and lively. However, the family does learn all the basic yoga poses in the midst and does enjoy a relaxation time together at the end. No worries if your kids are live wires, this class is great for everyone. Parents tell us they love this family time activity. Mommy & Me / Mommy to-be Yoga (1 hr.) Moms with their infants/toddlers & Moms interested in Prenatal Yoga
This is a great social connecting point for women who are at similar places in their lives at this special time. The poses that are selected are safe for prenatal and postnatal moms. We ask that the infants be at least 4 months old before taking yoga class with his/her mom. Class will provide emphasis on back health and overall strengthening/stretching and creating flexibility in body and mind to meet these new challenges. Come relax and bond with your little one and others! Physican release required. Special Needs Yoga 1:1 Classes for Children / Teens (50 min. lesson) By Appt. individual or up to 3 family members together. Benefits reported from students' families who do Special Needs Yoga are: increased strength, flexibility, balance and confidence. Mood, digestion, respiration have also been commented on as having shown improvement as a result of regular yoga practice. Classes are designed with your child's specific strengths, personality and goals in mind. Your child will enjoy the lessons while they learn new ways to take good care of their bodies and emotions. Parents have told us that their child asks "go to Yoga?" or "see Ms. Lori?" It is truly rewarding to be a part of their growth and discovery.
Yoga Birthday Parties for Big or Small Up to 10 little ones or 7 teens/adults doing yoga (up to 12 additional well-wishers are welcome to come & observe the fun) Active, lively, creative movement, fun and games. Special memory for the best birthday! Great with kids birthdays. Also can do teens and adult birthdays.
